Course Objectives

The course objectives are to prepare students from diverse backgrounds to understand basic introductory principles of how nutrition supports optimal health and human performance across the spectrum, with an emphasis on: i) dietary guidelines; ii) optimizing nutrient intake for various sports; iii) nutritional supplements/ergogenic aids; iv) manipulation of diet for body weight management; and v) eating disorders and obesity.
