Student Learning Outcomes
- Students will analyze the foundational theories and concepts within women’s and gender studies, and critically reflect on your own perspectives on these issues.
- Students will describe, examine, and analyze interlocking systems of power and how they shape the diverse lived experiences of women in the U.S. in contemporary and historical contexts.
- Students will develop critical thinking skills and apply critical literacy to examine information and analyze text, media, and literature about race, gender, sexuality.
- Students will develop and support ideas in discussion and written form to communicate effectively about politically engaged issues around race, gender, sexuality and body with people of different backgrounds in a respectful manner.
