Course Objectives
Students will analyze the role of sports in U.S. society, culture and politics over the last century. They will study the place of media, and the evolution of media, in shaping that role. Outcomes: Students will have a grounding in contemporary and historical intersections of sports, media and society. They will think critically about sports in U.S. culture. They will have the ability to succeed in a blended classroom, using online materials and platforms for learning and class discussion.
