The formulations and numerical solution of nonlinear problems in
structural, mechanical, and biological/biomedical engineering by
finite element methods. Both geometric and material
nonlinearities will be studied. Students are expected to learn
how to use a finite element analysis tool and complete a
practical engineering project.
