Course Description

Students continue to revise and polish previous screenplays and teleplays and begin work on a second screenplay and teleplay that will become the thesis project.

Course Objectives

Students will learn to prepare a thesis-length project. Students will emerge with greater writing sophistication and narrative engagement. Students will hone their skills at long-term screenwriting and teleplay writing by revisiting writing done in the first two semesters and beginning work on their thesis-length project.

I. Revising and restructuring the long-form project. II. Receiving and responding to criticism. III. Selecting a topic for a second long-form project. IV. Outlining the long-form project and the television series. V. Critiquing one's own work. VI. Writing on deadline.
