Course Objectives
To provide graduate students in Portuguese with the knowledge and skills to do creative research independently in a specific area, such as Portuguese, Lusophone African, East Timor, and Brazilian Literatures.
Topical Outline
The topical outline is to be determined by the professor of the course the semester it is being offered. It could combine any or all of the above-mentioned areas. Examples include: Machado e Assis, Eça de Querioz, Poetry by Luiz Camões, Women in Contemporary Literature, Revolutionary literature, among many others.
