Course Objectives

The student in this course will learn copyright as it pertains to music, the mechanics of the music publishing business, various types of songwriter deals, the flow of money from licensed uses. Upon successful completion, a student will be able to manage one songwriter's catalog, or work for a larger company in the realm of music publishing.
