Student Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to identify and classify advanced inflectional forms of Classical Greek.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to describe and explain advanced morphological and grammatical structures in Classical Greek sentences and passages of the appropriate difficulty, including original sentences and adapted passages from Classical Greek authors.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to translate and interpret advanced Classical Greek sentences and passages of the appropriate difficulty, including original sentences and adapted passages from Classical Greek authors.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to compare advanced grammatical structures between English and Classical Greek and, on the basis of this comparison, compose advanced sentences in Classical Greek from English sentences.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to translate unadapted selections from Classical Greek authors, both prepared in advance and at sight, and assess the content and literary style.
