Christian Feminist Theology


Course Description

An introduction to some of the major issues in Christian feminist theology, including both critical and constructive feminist approaches to the doctrine of God, Christology, and theological anthropology.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will write an additional research paper on a topic chosen in consultation with the professor and will be required to lead one day of class discussion.

Course Objectives

This course is designed to help students: (1) gain a basic understanding of some of the central issues in feminist Christian theology through course readings and lectures, (2) learn how to engage in critical thinking through the examination and discussion of course readings, and (3) develop strong writing and analytical skills through course assignments.
