Non-Traditional Format
This is a field practicum experience. Students will participate in a weekly 1 hour staff meeting for training and lessons and then work an additional 9 hours during the posted class time(s) each week.

Course Objectives
In this course, students will learn to: 1) Safely operate standard farm equipment and use a wide range of hand tools; 2) Demonstrate effective volunteer supervision; 3) Appreciate the seasonal cycles of a sustainable farm operation; 4) Participate in production and harvest of fruits, vegetables, and herbs; and 5) Improve leadership skills and self-confidence.
