Course Description
The application of biomaterials in biomedical research and medicine. Introduces current and emerging classes of biomaterials and their chemical, structural, material, and functional properties. Places special emphasis on clinical translations, and the use of biomaterials in clinical applications, such as in regenerative medicine and biomedical devices.

Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to introduce graduate students pursuing interdisciplinary lifescience, biomedical science, and engineering degrees to the field of biomaterials. The course will highlight the physicochemical and biological attributes of a range of biomaterials and discuss their translation to clinical applications.
