Management and Modeling of Forest Carbon Resources


Course Description

An in-depth understanding of policies which are governing forest carbon management at regional and global levels coupled with the development of suitable quantitative modeling skills needed to determine the cost effectiveness of forestry as a carbon mitigation tool at the stand level.

Course Objectives

It is expected that at the end of this course, students will become informed customers of debate on national and global forestry resources and their role in influencing and mitigating carbon emissions. It is also expected that this course will enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills in relation to forest carbon resources.
