Course Description
A capstone research seminar supporting the completion of student research in Education Law and Policy. Research presentations to professional colleagues in an individually appropriate format (e.g., public presentation and/or publication) and the completion of a personal plan for integrating program work into future academic and professional goals.

Course Objectives
The prerequisite course will provide students with the essential law and policy knowledge and skills necessary to begin and continue their research throughout the program of study in preparation for completion and presentation of their work in this capstone seminar. In the capstone seminar, students will: • Complete work on their selected research or practice problem; • Prepare and present this research to their colleagues in an appropriate format (e.g., a published law review article or other scholarly or professional publication; an academic or professional presentation; drafting and presenting model legislation or policies; research-based testimony to policy makers, etc.); and • Complete a plan for integrating their learning and research work into their future educational and professional goals.
