Course Description

Introduces students to substantive issues and knowledge to pursue a career in politics, politically-oriented advertising, and public relations. Instructor will integrate course materials with guest lectures by practitioners from politics and public affairs communication. Course is required for the Certificate in Applied Politics and Public Affairs Communications.

To introduce students to the substantive issues and knowledge needed to pursue a career in politics and politically-oriented advertising and public relations, and to give students an opportunity to interact with and learn from a variety of practitioners from politics and public affairs communications.
