Course Description
This course focuses on the basic steps of new product development: opportunity identification, design, testing, and implementation. Students learn how to read and interpret new product market research. Students are also able to enhance their creativity with research information and idea generating techniques.

Course Objectives
After completion of this course, students will gain an understanding of the basic steps of new product development from opportunity identification to design, testing and implementation. They will learn the advantages of fast development. They will also will be able to analyze the root causes of successful and unsuccesful new products. Students will be able to develop and evaluate marketing plans for new product ideas.
