Provides mathematics and mathematics education students with a
study of current issues in the teaching and learning of
undergraduate mathematics. Course topics will include exploring
important ways of thinking at the undergraduate mathematics
level. Other topics will include an overview of undergraduate
pedagogies and instructional design.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students: In addition to other course requirements, graduate students will
complete the following: Identify a key issue in the teaching and
learning of undergraduate mathematics. Complete a literature
(research and practice) synthesis on this topic. In addition to
completing manuscript, students will present their issue and
instructional implications to the course.
