Course Objectives

Rather than learning language from language textbooks, this course helps students, especially heritage students, to learn Chinese in fundamental literary texts--both modern and premodern. The innovative course will enhance students' reading, writing, listening, speaking, and translation skills not only through language immersion, but also through immersion in literature, film, and art.
