Course Objectives
To answer specific questions deemed important through mutual discussions with the instructor, and to properly organize data obtained and carry out statistical analyses as appropriate.
Topical Outline
Students will be expected to formulate ideas with focus on plans to answer specific questions deemed important through mutual discussions with the instructor. This course will involve active participation of students in plannng, preparing for, and executing experiments. Students are expected to properly organize data obtained and carry out statistical analyses as appropriate. Involvement in routine laboratory activites, including assistance in maintenance of inventories, care of equipment, cleaning, sterilization, etc. Assessment of performance will be made by the instructor taking into account the student's efforts, intellectual contributions, productivity as reflected by results, and progress in achieving specific aims recognized to be important through the instructor's guidance.
