Student learning Outcomes

  • Course is designed to introduce theory and application of fundamental mechanics, such as elasticity, plasticity, and viscoelasticity, to soil mechanics problems.
  • On completion of this course, the student should be able to solve stress problem of geo materials using elastic, plastic, and viscoelastic theory.
  • On completion of this course, the student should be able to apply constitutive modeling to the behavior of geo materials.
