International Family Resource Management


Course Description

Personal and family management along with decision making and developing and using resources in an international environment through site visits and first-hand experiences. Emphasis on application of cross-cultural concepts of a human eco-systems approach to day-to-day living for non-U.S. households.

Course Objectives

Students will learn from experiencing the culture and life of the country they are visiting. Explain the meaning of family resource management and project management in an international setting and cross-cultural environment. Apply concepts related to systems theory, such as time management, communication, and division of labor in non-U.S. household context, which provides experiential learning opportunities for U.S. students.
