The placement may be on site or virtual, but will entail working closely under the supervision of an established professional. Practicum students will observe and assist in administrative work and decision-making and/or undertake special applied projects in a higher education or related workplace setting. They will be required to reflect on their experiences and consider how the academic and practical sides of the field inform each other and contribute to successful professional administrative work. Periodic written reports and reflections will provide opportunities for further learning and serve as the basis for evaluating performance.
