Supervised experience in Media Entertainment Industries in L.A.

Non-Traditional Format

Intern site supervision with faculty feedback and evaluation. Student is immersed in organization setting, applying classroom knowledge to workplace situations. Student reflects in written form upon relevance and value of experience for professional goals. Internships must be for a minimum of 107 hours of employment for one hour of credit, 214 hours of employment for two hours of credit, and 320 hours of employment for three hours of credit.

Course Objectives

Provide practical experience in using the information and skills learned in classes. Depending on the internship, the course could contribute to any or several of the outcomes listed by the department.


Topical Outline

Work assingments will vary with the employer, but student is expected to keep a week-by-week account of what he/she did and an assessment of the value of the experience to his/her career aspirations.
