Course Objectives

Students will: -- define and describe self-regulated learning for adult learners, particularly with regard to the use of current and emerging technologies for learning; -- explore F2F and online resources for professional development (e.g., school-based learning communities, PLU courses, MOOCs; social media); -- develop their own personal professional learning plan for the next three years integrating a variety of the resources explored above; -- participate in at least one ongoing professional learning community to deepen content and/or pedagogical knowledge with a focus on technology integration and reflect on their experience therein; -- design a potentially effective professional learning experience (F2F, online, or blended) for a specific context, purpose, and group of learners using technology-enhanced learning; -- offer at least part of this learning experience to actual educators; -- evaluate, reflect upon, and revise the design of this learning experience based on analyzed feedback and results.
