Course Objectives
Upon completion of their full practicum, students will be able to: -- design a research study using appropriate research methodologies to address one or more specific research questions situated in practice; -- obtain needed IRB and site approvals to conduct research; -- organize and conduct practice-based research using ethical recruiting methods and sound sampling and data collection procedures while respecting the voices, rights, and needs of participants and other people in the educational context throughout -- appropriately analyze and make claims from qualitative and/or quantitative data collected -- report on completed research using different formats to scholarly, local, and general practitioner audiences
