Course Description
An overview of the physiology of the endocrine system and disorders associated with each endocrine organ. Drugs used to treat these disorders will be presented. We will also learn about metabolic disorders, endocrine disruptors, and animal models of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will do a project on a topic related to endocrinology chosen in consultation with the instructor. It could be a topic related to their thesis research with an endocrine component in it, or it could be a topic on endocrinology of personal interest.

Course Objectives
Objectives are to understand the functioning of the endocrine system and its pharmacology, and how it can be applied to hormone therapy, diagnostics, and disease prevention. Each module will have a single pdf file that will contain learning objectives, physiology, and pathology of a particular endocrine system, drugs used for treating endocrine disorders, and their mechanism of action. Links may be provided to external sources of information.
