Course Objectives
The goal of this course is to teach graduate students the advanced concepts in bioelectroanalytical chemistry and prepare them to use those concepts for a practical application. Students will learn the difference between bioelectroanalytical techniques and traditional analytical techniques, such as UV-vis spectroscopy, GC-MS, etc. Students will learn the application of bioelectroanalytical techniques for the characterization of chemical, biomedical, and pharmaceutical systems through the various examples of practical applications. Examples of practical applications include glucose monitoring, immunosensing, neurotransmitter studies, cancer detection, and forensic screening.
