Course Objectives
Students will be exposed to a broad range of current topics in biological, chemical, materials, and medical-related Engineering disciplines. Graduate students, University faculty, and external guests invited by the School will present their latest research, providing participants with the opportunity to assess state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge hypotheses. Each semester students will observe and participate in question-and- answer periods that focus on critical evaluation of presented data and concepts.
Topical Outline
Topics will vary each semester. Speakers will cover very diverse areas, such as medical devices, fermentation, molecular biology, food production, biomass utilization, advanced materials, coatings, modeling of physiology, policy, and other areas of interests to School faculty and students.
