Student learning Outcomes

  • By the end of this course, students will be able to describe key characteristics of Christianity as a global religion, including the most prominent varieties of Christianity around the world, by considering, engaging with, and analyzing course readings and materials, along with class lectures.
  • By the end of this course, students will be able to support their own assessment of key similarities, differences, developments, and tensions between different variations of Christianity with sound reasoning and judgement.
  • By the end of this course, students will be able to develop awareness, knowledge, and appreciation for global religious communities beyond their own, and reflect on how their personal beliefs shape their own worldview as compared to other cultures and religions.
