Provides an introduction into character development via costume as used in the motion picture and television industry, as, well as a working knowledge of the wardrobe department taught through lecture, example, and mock situations.

Course Objectives

Student should be able to: ‡ Complete period or topical research of character specific clothing ‡ Develop a cohesive costume design package for costumes in synch with director vision ‡ Communicate with director, producers, and above the line talent via photos,digital or traditional media and verbal presentation ‡ Have an understanding of the management of wardrobe department for use during principal photography (shooting) including tracking budget, continuity, and talent interface
