Course Description
This capstone design course is the first in a two-semester sequence that is project-based and focused on problem framing, stakeholder analysis, concept generation, and project management skills. The projects are designed to provide students with a major design experience in mechanical engineering prior to graduation.

Course Objectives
This course mainly provides students with an opportunity to develop competence and self-confidence as design engineers, develop decision-making and communication skills with the assistance of state-of-the-art design innovation tools. Emphasis will be placed on creative design and application and synthesis of previous courses taken from the agricultural engineering program.
Topical Outline
This course is designed to provide students with a completed engineering design experience, including problem definition, concept development, and detailed design with an emphasis on overcoming real-world constraints.
