Overview of the comprehensive approach to facility and event management and design. Explores the facility requirements and resource management of various hospitality event facilities and how to strategically design venues to obtain the marketing and operational goals of the event planner. Includes the examination of the economic impact of events on the hospitality sector.

Course Objectives
- Understand the various costs related to hospitality facility design and operation. - Demonstrate an appreciation for the design characteristics of hotels, resorts, and food service establishments. - Examine how facility design influences the goals and objectives of meetings and events. - Plan, develop, organize, and coordinate meetings and events across a broad spectrum of hospitality and food industry workplaces, including hotels, resorts, conference centers, cruise ships, restaurants, microbreweries, and agritourism enterprises.
