Course Objectives
Provide opportunity for the student intern to become familiar with the full array of the professional roles, functions, and activities relevant to the internship setting, including how the assigned functional area relates to other programs/offices within the setting and external institutions and units. Provide opportunity for the intern to obtain supervised experience in the use of professional resources such as appraisal instruments, computers, media, research literature, professional standards, and assessment and evaluation procedures. Include supervised experience in a variety of professional activities appropriate to the internship setting's emphasis and responsibilities. Include readings from the professional literature and background/”historical” documents from the institution or setting relevant to the internship assignment.
