Course Objectives

Develop familiarity with research types and technical terms. Read, comprehend, articulate, and write about music research of varying types. Differentiate between valid studies and studies of questionable value. Improve writing skills and presentation skills of research. Show how findings may be applied to teaching situations. Develop own topics of interest and find related research. Gain a very basic understanding of statistics.
