Course Description
A comprehensive design or research project in which the student
is able to demonstrate the proficiency acquired in the
professional program through a design or research project that
studies historical, cultural, ecological, or other contextual
issues for the project site.

Student learning Outcomes
- Students will learn the following skills: design fundamentals, design process, graphic and written communication, site inventory and analysis, illustrative analog and digital graphics, construction detailing, construction documents, site engineering and stormwater management, plant selection, and planting design.
- Students will apply independent research skills, data collection, and creative skills as well as conceptual discovery in their final design solutions.
- Students will create and assemble appropriate supporting construction and grading documents which utilize standard professional conventions typical of the design process.
- Students will demonstrate excellence in professional skills such as organization, time management, prioritization, and leadership.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to apply skills, creativity and knowledge, current technologies, and communication skills toward the development of a successful design project similar to the process in professional offices.
