Course Description
Classroom management and positive behavior supports and interventions for inclusive classrooms (preschool-grade 12). Emphasis is on evidence-based strategies for preventing behavior problems and individualized interventions for students with social and behavioral challenges.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will complete a capstone synthesizing research on positive behavior supports and interventions.

Course Objectives
By the end of this course, students will be able to: Use evidence-based practices to establish a positive, consistent, and organized learning environment. Explicitly teach social skills in individual, small group, and whole class formats. Conduct functional behavior assessments to address individual problem behavior. Develop, monitor, and review function-based behavior intervention plans to address individual problem behavior.
