Course Objectives
This course introduces a social psychological perspective on organized life in a diverse society: its central concepts, principles, and ways of thinking. On completion of this course, students should: (1) be able to apply a social psychological perspective to the issues they and others encounter in everyday life; (2) be familiar with basic concepts, principles, and theories in social psychology; (3) be able to think critically about social research and the conclusions drawn from it and (4) be familiar with some classic social psychological studies and findings.
