Course Objectives
1. Students will understand why the authoritarian form of government in China has been so resilient. 2. Students will understand the relation between China's one- party state and its more market-oriented economy, including the contrast with the U.S. 3. Students will better understand the complex political and economic relations between China and the U.S.
