Visual Effects and Color Correction


Course Description

Organizing, planning, designing, and refining visual effects and color correction for entertainment media.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students must design a color correction and visual efx workflow that coordinates with their editing and audio teams for their thesis project based on the objective outcomes of the course using DaVinci Resolve. The design must be presented for critique and approval before the workflow is implemented.

Student learning Outcomes

  • Students will be able to design visual effects such as titles, mattes, green screen, and complimentary elements, as well as utilize color correction and color timing techniques for visual storytelling in entertainment media.
