Course Objectives
This class focuses on concepts of transmedia as creative and industrial practice, including the cultural and economic implications of transmedia production and consumption. In this class, students will: • Analyze components of contemporary transmedia properties • Craft creative components that complement existing economic, narrative, and/or thematic functions • Evaluate and interpret media texts’ transmedia strategies • Analyze and create narratives that take place across multiple delivery channels
