Course Description
Roles of women in music, including the history of women musicians in Western art music, world cultures, and popular music; gender studies in music.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be expected to write a paper on topics of
wider scope than undergraduates and will present oral reports.
Graduate students will be expected to write more in-depth,
longer papers with higher level independent research and
analysis for their papers. Graduate students will also be asked
to lead class discussions.
