Course Description
Students will study and perform a range of musical theatre styles, including operetta, tin pan alley, and the modern musical. Students will learn how to analyze libretto and lyrics through the psychological lens of a character. Through readings, lecture, and practice they will understand how to better attack the various elements, structure, style, content, and purpose of musical theatre performances.
