Course Description
Critical perspectives on adult learning, leadership, and organization development theory, research, and practice. Perspectives include critical theory, critical human resource development, feminist theory, and issues of race, class, gender, and culture as they relate to the production of knowledge in diverse organizational settings.

Course Objectives
The course will enable students to: 1) develop an understanding of critical perspectives of adult learning, leadership, and organization development theory and research; 2) understand the ways in which power is distributed in the organizations from an integrated approach that includes the social, cultural, economic, and political; 3) develop an understanding and knowledge about the ways that power relations affect and inform adult learning, leadership, and organization development practice.
