Course Description
This research communication course is for any student who is considering a professional or graduate degree in the health sciences. Topics on research organization, experimental design, data collection, analysis, and presentation will be presented. This course will prepare students for graduate programs in the life sciences and also satisfy some of the prerequisites for admission to the professional curriculum.

Course Objectives
Students will be presented with weekly online material covering topics listed below. Learning material will be presented in the form of a webpage, a video, or a published manuscript. They will be tested on the material presented. There will be 2 exams and discussion posts. Discussion posts involve reading an article relevant to that week’s material and commenting on it. Students have to participate in at least 10 different weekly posts. Exams are 100 points each. Students will be presented with a list of topics that they can choose from to complete a project on. The project is worth 50 points. Total points for the course is 350.
