Course Description

Students will apply instructional design theories as they design for complex learning environments. Design strategies for formal and informal learning environments, emerging trends, and project constraints will be explored through case-based learning.

Students will be able to: - Employ design thinking principles in complex instructional situations. - Demonstrate proficiency to conduct a learner analysis. - Design instructional solutions for diverse learning populations. - Explore instructional needs for formal and informal learning environments. - Demonstrate an understanding of design principles for different learning platforms. - Demonstrate the ability to work with a team and propose solutions to instructional situations. - Critically evaluate and discuss trends related to the field of instructional design.
