Course Objectives

Objectives: Specific objectives will vary depending on the topic selected and advertised by the instructor. This course is used when an instructor offers a special opportunity to explore a content area that is not covered in existing coursework, and is accessible to students without introductory psychology coursework. Certain general objectives will be present in all Special Topics courses. General Objectives: 1. Know why the area of study is important. How does it relate to the broader field of psychology? 2. Learn about the content of the area of study 3. Develop a specialized understanding of the fundamental issues in the area 4. Develop critical thinking skills
