Course Description
A continuation of Suzuki Violin and Viola Pedagogy I; provides students with further skills and resources for teaching violin and viola students using the Suzuki method at the Book 2 and 3 levels. Students will be required to provide recorded teaching segments and will include live teaching experiences and feedback.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be required to submit an additional research paper on a relevant pedagogical topic and will also be required to do a minimum of one live segment of group class teaching with Community Music School student group classes.

Course Objectives
Students taking the course will: • be conversant with the philosophical ideas presented in Dr. Suzuki's Nurtured by Love. • have a demonstrable knowledge of the repertoire and teaching points in the Suzuki Violin and Viola Units 2 and 3 repertoire books. • develop unique practical skills for working with young beginners between the ages of 2 and 8. • be required to submit teaching videos. • have live teaching experiences. • receive feedback on their recorded and live teaching.
