Course Description
Overview of the theory and practice of audio recording, with an emphasis on classical music recording. Topics include analog audio, digital audio, transducers, recording techniques, editing, signal processing, mixing, and acoustics.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be required to submit an additional paper in which they will prepare a Good/Better/Best proposal for a music teacher wanting to purchase recording equipment to be used for a variety of ensembles playing in a variety of venues.
