Hands-on introduction to the equipment and training in the overall process which comprises a typical classical (acoustic performance) recording. Topics include venue assessment, positioning of performers, mic techniques, use of spot mics, and the recording and editing of live performances.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students: Graduate students will be required to give a final presentation in which they will summarize the completed project, provide analysis of workflow and results, and present this to the class.
