Course Description
Provides an overview of community and public health nutrition topics for graduate students enrolled in the Community Nutrition Online M.S. degree program to gain knowledge, skills, and research methodology in identifying and addressing nutrition and health problems in communities through community-based nutrition interventions and policies.

Course Objectives
By the end of the course, students will be able to: 1. Gain conceptual and methodological understanding of community and public health nutrition issues 2. Design and conduct community needs assessment using appropriate data, resources, and tools 3. Design nutrition programs 4. Evaluate nutrition programs and nutrition-related policies 5. Define goal and implementation strategies of governmental and non-governmental nutrition programs designed to meet the needs of vulnerable populations at the local, state, and federal levels 6. Understand key components and general processes to prepare a grant proposal
