  • Students will understand the movement and transformation of hazardous substances in soil, groundwater, and other geological media.
  • Students will be able to apply field and laboratory techniques to characterize contaminated sites and evaluate remediation needs.
  • Students will be able to assess physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods for hazardous waste cleanup.
  • Students will be able to interpret key environmental regulations and policies, design site-specific remediation plans, identify exposure pathways, and evaluate risks.
